Jaime Hayon creates the Formakami JH5 pendant lamp, a lamp with the appearance of a non-conventional paper lantern. It is a lightweight ceiling lamp made of rice paper, echoing the ancient lanterns of Asia. The paper lanterns used in Asia have different meanings depending on their colors, shapes, and sizes, although in this case Hayon has dispensed with cultural trappings to create a series of lanterns all in white.
