Designed by Vico Magistretti. Manufactured by Artemide. Giancarlo Mattioli was born in Italy in 1933, and rose to prominence during the 1950s and 60s. His most famous work, the Nesso Table Lamp, forms part of the collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), as well as numerous design museums worldwide. The Nesso Table Lamp won first prize at the Studio Artemide Domus competition in Milan in 1965, and remains as stylish and modern today, as it did over 50 years ago.
