Thursday 16th June 2022 - 6.30-9.00pm This 2.5-hour workshop will teach you the foundation skills so that you are able to create your own celebratory crown for yourself or a loved one using needle felt. You will be taught by art teacher and maker Claire Bird who will provide you with all the tools and techniques needed to complete a simple crown design or start something more ambitious that can be completed after the session. What to expect from the workshop: An introduction to basic needle felt techniques Build up colour and layers using wool roving Cutting and attaching sheet felt Constructing your crown using blanket stitch What the workshop expects from you: Attention paid whilst using the sharp needles Maybe bring images for inspiration What you will take away: Needle felt starter kit: 10 Colours of Wool, Needles, Mat, Needle Holder, and Finger Protectors Needle felting skills A completed crown or everything you need (materials and skills) to complete your work in progress The ticket price also includes light refreshments and attendees will also benefit from 10% discount across the store in the evening.
