Large Opal white glass and brass ball pendant lamp is a genuine Danish design classic created by Benny Frandsen in 1968. In 2018, the BALL lamp celebrated its 50th anniversary. BALL was originally introduced as a pendant lamp and wall-mounted lamp with magnet, and the magnet lamp was particularly successful. In the 1970s, the lamp could be found in most Danish homes, and it has since moved into summer cottages, nurseries and any space where good lighting is needed. To this day, most Danes have a special relationship to the little round lamp. “Just because BALL is 50 years old and continues to be a bestseller doesn’t mean we’ve stopped developing it,” says Benny Frandsen, designer of the BALL series. The BALL series has been expanded to include a pendant in opal white glass. The pendant is fitted with brushed antique brass metal parts as well as white fabric cord. The pendant is beautiful on its own; but works incredibly well in a cluster with multiple over e.g. the kitchen island and dining table. The opal white glass gives a beautiful light into the room and a super good light downwards. With the help of the light source, the light can easily be changed from warm cozy light to a light which can act as work or reading light.
