Product Details

Kay Bojesen's intention was never to create exact replicas of wildlife, but rather to produce animals whose designs reflected a child's view of animals. His creations, designed between 1930s-1950s, were to be based on simple, beautiful shapes, tactile materials and should inspire imaginative play, thus his charming menagerie of solid, tactile designs took shape. Fulfilling Bojesen's dream, his playful collection of animals and figurines, now produced by the respected Danish Rosendahl Group, have become treasured classics throughout the world. The friendly Bear was born in 1952. Made of oiled oak and maple, this is an exact replica created from Kay Bojesen’s original drawings. Beautifully packaged, this would make a wonderful gift for a newborn, Christening, anniversary or special gift to mark any occasion. Size: H15cm Material: Oak and Maple
