Wooden Doll No.19

£162.99

Product Details

Hand-painted solid fir wood figure. It belongs to the Wooden Dolls collection by Vitra, designed by Alexander Girard. Alexander Girard's Wooden Dolls are a large family of wooden figures that represent human and animal characters. Girard created them in 1952 as decorative objects for his home in Santa Fe. These originals, which are part of the Girard collection belonging to the Vitra Design Museum, served as a model for the current reissues. Precisely replicated down to the last detail, the Wooden Dolls are still made and painted by hand, exactly like Alexander Girard's vintage pieces. And although the differences between them are minimal, each figure is an exclusive and individual product, one of a kind. More details about the Wooden Dolls: Hand painted one by one. Each doll comes in a pine wood box, perfect for gifting. Includes certificate of authenticity.
